I'm a fan of The Man Picked Up By the Gods and it was one of the few Japanese novels I used to read previously. But the downside of it was I felt the novel wasn't really going anywhere. I guess the writer felt something was wrong with it as well since he decided to do a reboot. I saw the translator mention this reboot a while back and I finally see it on NU. Are you excited to see it? What do you hope the writer has changed in this reboot? For me one thing I really want is that the writer makes Ryouma slightly less OP. Also what I would've liked is if Ryouma had joined Elia when she left for school. I hope something like this happens in the reboot. So what changes do you wanna see people?
cut down the amount of monologue, and infodump. the story is already interesting, but too much of both makes it feels slower than it should be. the previous version final volume's pace is the best among its 5 volume, imho
Hope he actually has the common sense in him and no more robot like interactions that made the story stale the further it was.
Does that mean that the writer was getting better as the story goes along? That would mean good things for a rewrite.
I stopped around the school arc since the translator said author was rebooting it and decided to wait for it So any major changes so far?
His opness let him fight against the adventurers guild master. If he had that level of opness against people at school then it won't really be fun. That volume was good because stuff actually happened. A kidnapping was a nice change to the novel. the other volumes needed more exciting things to happen

I would rather for the OPness to continue, it's one of the things that make this novel fun. The info dump was the thing that was too much.
the early part was fun, but it started feeling repetitive and stale during laundromat arc, and i finally couldn't handle it anymore during the girls' training arc, and i stopped. i re-pick it when the translation completed. it is very hard for me to persist during the training arc, but luckily it changes during the tournament all the way to final arc. we finally got to see he fights alongside his emperor slime, which is 4th (or was it 5th) level upgrade from original slime. (mc said, its rank should've been call god slime, but it could be rude seeing as he is friendly with the gods, therefore he settled for emperor instead). The final volume is quite intense too, imho. it really feels he's racing against the clock. i'm piling up chapters for now. i didn't even add it to my reading list, or else i wouldn't be able to resist reading it.
I saw the chapters but it was mixed with the old version so I didn't bother reading it. But now I saw the reboot got a separate page on NU so it had to go in my list~ I think I'll read it a bit later. Same here~ just added it before I made this thread.
