    ooh I hope it'll be good if it becomes a drama.
    But likely will be disappointed cuz it won't live up to the novel

    I thought rebirth was censored in China? In addition, aren't the themes in this novel against what the CCP wants to promote?

    Maybe they will show it as a vision she had when she woke up from coma instead of actually experiencing it? I mean she did tell Jing Xing that she had a vision instead of the truth. They might stick with that.

    I really hope this doesn't get adapted, because most adapted novel always gets ruined take princess weiyong for example plus the proposed actress for Shen miao ruined " just one smile is alluring a.k.a Love O20 " for me . What is with the stiff kissing scene and all . So no please.
    This novel is my all time favorite and i will like SM and XJX to remain just as written and imagined in my head.

    Well, I don't really want a drama adaptation of this novel but I just had this thought that Yang Yang from Love O20 had looks that could portray the player like air of XJX well.
    But the drama is better not to be adapted because there is lot of anguish, hatred and vengeance, that if not portrayed well, it would cause the drama to become dull.

    Hope no drama adaptation. Most of my fav novels get destroyed by drama adaptation. It hurts..
    Yup agree with above on love 020. Even i didn't like adaptation of our glamorous time(don't know about others but my image of cool ml got destroyed)

    I'm doubtful. Usually novel to drama is quite literally butchered. The story line in some changes so much that it's barely recognisable tbh.

    Just watched the drama adaptation of Princess Wei Yang and I am definitely not for the drama on Rebirth of the Malicious Empress.
    Gladly they pronounced MC's name as Weiyoung and not Wei Yang as in novel, else it would have been disturbing. I mean, the villain of the novel became the ML! Really, screenwriter and producer? What did you have against our real lovable ML?
    It got me scared thinking if they would do the same in Rebirth of the Malicious Empress. Even if the beauty of XJX is so unrealistic that paragraphs are needed to describe it, he's still my idle ML! If that villain is made the ML, I might really cry.

    Indeed, I was disappointed with Princess Wei Yang... But I really hope they make this well, one time wish! I love Shen Miao :blob_teary:

    Noor rebirth is censored and banned in Korea. There are many rebirth ,time travel ,transmigration dramas in China

    I'm happy and scared. I love this novel and I've burned so many times to be optimistic about it. I just want the same quality from The Story of Ming Lan period.
