Banging the harem very loudly, in what you know are Goblin infested woods, and then letting your harem walk all over the only person in the group with combat experience....

 

Now now, seems like Lapis is something that I (and almost everyone) didn't expect to be. Wow.

 

Bad personality. I need to restart reading, I forgot about how such stupid people became adventurers.

 

Same as any other adventurers, or the small-town High-school football star that thinks he should be famous in the city, it's a big fish in a small pond kind of thing. He thought he was a great warrior, his childhood friend agreed, and they picked up a third opinion when they went to town to register at the guild. This wasn't their first mission, but they probably got overly confident after killing a few small fry monsters on simpler missions, like killing a few slimes on the way back from the herb gathering missions, maybe even a few lone goblins.

 

Those guys were doomed, because they understimated the risk of the work to mutch, their naivity had a big price tag to pay. I am as glad as anyone for what happened to them, but I am sad because that only shows how easely new comers die for stupid decitions making and lack of expierence. <loved the banter of the new party that appeared now.

 

True it doesn't seem guild system is different from most other novels no skilled adventurers seem to introduce them the basics maybe they did and ignored because of their stupidity and self overestimation

 

Just remembering the cliches for some reason
Useless "hero" character and his childhood friend, the bright future type excellent mage from royal academy(these types always die shitty deaths at first missions when shown to reader) , flat chested elf archer with attitude (might be tsundere) and title should be bizarre adventure of a broke Jojo if they're doing a remake or something Mc reminds me of Jojo meme XD

 

It's a harem party, everyone was just sitting back until it imploded, Sarfe disgusted everyone in the guild. They aren't going to be giving any pointers to a party like that, better to snatch up the girls after Sarfe inevitably gets himself stabbed.

 

This party was a wake up call I guess, at times in a more gentle themed novel they would have survived, but this one is more serious, and takes it a little more to the genre of Seinen that Shounen, more grounded. Someone mentioned on the coments that the MC reminds them of Gutts from Berserker, if that party was on the Berserker universe, they would have died way before reaching the nest.

Yes at least this guy has better luck that Gutts.

 

even his entire mercenary band died, but even with all those similarities i find the characters fundamentally different
in fact, i wouldn't even have put the 2 together if it hadn't been pointed out here

LOL you say that like it's a hard thing to do...gutts is easily amongst the most tragic characters i've ever read

I saw what you attempted there. But I am really excited to know more about that instalation that they stumbled on. By the way Lapi was totally savage dealing with those goblings, I like her style.
