Episode 23 is here guys https://www.webtoons.com/en/challen...isode-23/viewer?title_no=699696&episode_no=38 https://tapas.io/episode/2541246 Spoiler: Recap of Episode 23 And it looks like Bridgette and Nora finally meet which means she finally has a chance to ask her to help her form a union, but seeing the fear on Nora’s eyes it seems that she doesn’t want any violence or problems to happen as shown by the racial tensions between the teffrahs and Limpettes when the maids argue with one of the noble knights near the newspaper stand who is one of the local baron’s sons and is one of the knights who cover up the murders Marinus committed in Momentary Duchess.I wonder if the next chapter or future one on Nora’s backstory about why she attempted to form a union against the Anders household and why she doesn’t want any violence to happen especially when Bridgette will one day have to deal with Lord Marinus Demeter who is about to make a deal with the devil (or in this case his previous self) to understand the awareness of the world of momentary duchess and since there is a mention of a ball on the Anders household according to what Bridgette said ,I will be looking forward to it in the future chapters hopefully next month or July And guess what guys ,the series has reached 6K (or soon 7K) subscribers in webtoon and 200 subscribers in Tapas ,Isn't that great and I hope another extra will happen to celebrate this milestone in both sites.

It focuses on the backstory of Nora Williams that she is the daughter of an otome isekai protagonist named Eriadne Markis from a smut horror otome isekai webcomic called “The Rain falls gently on the villainess” where Bridgette’s alternate counterpart read and a human slave named Geralt a refugee from an ongoing war from a different country , Eriadne bought Geralt so that she needs him to be her pretend lover and for protection in order to eradicate the demons in the household , Bridgette’s alternate counterpart didn’t like because she is descended from the African slaves in America that she wrote a comment criticizing the slavery trope in the story and spoil the entire premise before its translated into English , this cause a butterfly effect in the world of “The Rain falls gently on the villainess” away from the original premise that when after Eriadne and Geralt gaver birth to Nora , She tells Geralt to take Nora somewhere else likely the slave market where he once held ,this didn’t go well for Geralt that he killed his slave trader during a conversation with Eriadne and flee the household with his child, this cause Eriadne to report about this incident but since human slavery is considered illegal she was sentenced to prison until death.Leaving Geralt to take care of Nora. We also get an info about Simon one of Nora’s friend as he is likely a friend of Muriel (Bridgette’s previous incarnation) and that he likes to draw comics, maybe in future chapters Bridgette despite that she is not her previous incarnation Muriel will make a friendly conversation with Simon and would be interested in looking at his comics.
Episode 25 is here https://www.webtoons.com/en/challen...isode-25/viewer?title_no=699696&episode_no=40 https://tapas.io/episode/2553598 Spoiler: Recap of Episode 25 It seems that Marinus has made a Faustian bargain with his previous self and receive a magic stone that contains his essence which will make him powerful ,flawless and gives him Meta awareness so that it will be helpful to make Anette or her actual reincarnator Iseul (which is a south Korean name) to be on his side and make his Momentary Duchess ending come true ,Things are not looking good for Bridgette as she will meet her powerful opponent who now has the meta awareness like hers and we also a backstory about Iseul, Anette’s reincarnator and her sad life in her original world before reincarnated as her character Anette and how the novel Betrothed to the Grave comforted her especially when she understood the expectation vs reality on the Rofan Genre (which is a Korean word for Otome isekai) where she thought she would be noble like the Rofan protagonist which she isnt and she thinks that the maids are mean but they are not. Also fun fact in the chapter is that there is a mention of Rofan which is korean for 로판 which is a short term for Romance fantasies or in korean 로맨스 판타 Especially that Iseul is a south Korean name which is meant that most otome isekai stories published in webnovels and comics aimed to the female demographic are published in south korea.

The current Demeter who is cruel and cold on the inside wishes to get rid of his past self , it’s likely that he will get advice from him in order to reach towards the momentary duchess ending Also in the 2nd half when Bridgette is in the basement which is for her a cell she is reminiscent about one of her past lives when she visits one of the otome isekai protagonist (probably a regressor) who is now a deposed empress in her cell on the day before her execution ranting on where things got wrong for her after she made things right to her love interest the emperor . Bridgette did get some good and bad news from her friend Shellie that the imperial knights only found the fake notes while the real ones are safe somewhere that most servants in the Ander’s household begin to criticize Lord Ander’s actions in the household and then Shellie tell the bad news to Bridgette that Lord Demeter is staying in the mansion for a night.

When Marinus burns the green stone since he still doesn’t trust his previous counterpart ,the stone must have exploded and its powers begin to hurt him, this could be a possibility that Marinus’s previous counterpart is about to merge with his current counterpart and is about to control him without free will. when Shellie explains to Anette about Marinus’s injuries, she said to her that if Lord Anders didn’t fire Bridgette and put her in the cell, she could have saved Demeter. Maybe this could hint that Anette will disobey her father and will pardon and hire Bridgette as her personal maid so that Bridgette will reunite with her friends and once again form a union and try to make Anette be on their side to help them form their union since she knows about her past life . We also find out the backstory about Frank Levesque the leader of the guards that he is related to the Anders which is similar to how a family member in the royal family has become a leader of the Royal Army much like in the history of royalty in our world including Napoleon’s family. And also a new character a member of the imperial knights from chapter 28 who never accepts the Bribe from Frank that he explains the whole thing about Bridgette’s arrest revolving around fabricated charges to his noble family, things are going to heat up in the next chapter.

Lord Anders who is recovering from his drunken hangover begins to realize what he has done, claiming that he didn’t fire any maid. The aftermath of Bridgette’s arrest begins to affect the whole Anders household when the Limpette maids didn’t handle their duties well because without Bridgette who knows how to translate Teffrah language to Limpette language ,they choose the wrong bottles since they can’t read Teffrah language, and the cook quit because of the outcome around Bridgette’s arrest that he is worried that he will get arrested. Frank is confronted by Agatha and her maid Charlotte when they find out that the imperial knights have found fake notes (since Shellie has the real notes) especially that it is revealed that Frank has a taste for Limpetta women rather than Teffrah Women. Agatha warns Frank that if he didn’t do his job well and transfer Bridgette to prison , he will end up in a similar predicament like Bridgette. Anette who is suspicious of Marinus Demeter when he holds the green stone secretly went to Bridgette’s cell , I guess it seems likely Anette will negotiate with Bridgette ,free her from her cell , clear her name and rehire her. Also, as a reminder, the series is going to take a one-week hiatus.

She even tells Anette that this world is not “Betrothed to the Grave” but Momentary Duchess ,maybe this could be possible that Anette will likely bail Bridgette and make her as her personal servant disobeying her father, Lord Anders. Meanwhile ,Marinus after waking up from his nightmare that revolves around his past sins is back in his mansion ,His past self still tries to tell his current self that the world is a fictional novel, and he has to make the momentary duchess ending come true which the latter still doesn’t believe him especially that he is considered a human being not a fictional character. And in some other place Charlotte secretly asks Shellie for help in preventing Agatha by framing Bridgette and put her in Prison. Guess Charlotte is not mean like Agatha, So I guess we will look forward to the next chapter where Shellie and Charlotte must prevent Agatha’s plan from fruition.
