MC reincarnates into family where he is the weakest. I don't remember much, but they win a bet and get this building filled with valuable trees, only the people who made the bet makes the place unusable, but they find a mine which has valuable crystals or something. He also has a pet tiger/serpent mix. Umm theres also this bit about climbing a tower, whoever climbs highest and stays on that level for the longest is the winner. He manages to get to the top floor where he receives a map of somethings. Also he is aided by and aids an Auction House family in a big city near his own.

he does... it is only mentioned in the initials chapters... as a lot of ppl jump chapters and skips paragraphs, is no wonder some people doest know it.

we think that because in BTTH there is reincanation and the mc does have a serpent as pet... both novels are of the same author, but some parts are really boring to read.
