Request Time skip meditation

    Anyone know how to do a time skip? Just like, shut off the mind for a period of time so it feels like you just skipped the boring parts or something. I had something kinda similar to it earlier when I just closed my eyes and fell asleep, but that seems to leave a bad taste in my mouth and I can still feel the time pass so I'm looking for a more advanced technique.

    Isn't that just normal procrastination?

    Go watch funny cat videos or smth... or like one time when I was younger in a meeting, I started counting ceiling tiles.

    You're on NU too, I believe you can procrastinate like a champ!

    Do you mean when you have to deal with some friends who just go on and on about stuff you don't care about? In that case, think of cheese. Yes, cheese. Which cheese do you like? What's the texture? Is it soft? Is it runny? Is it full of maggots? Then imagine how it's transported to you. Imagine where it came from. What did the cheesemakers do? Where did they get the milk? Did the cheesemakers bathe in the cheese whey? Did they wash their dicks in the whey?

    It won't be long before your mind turns from curious fascination into philosophical debate, all in your mind!

    One of the techniqes that i know about is workout start with jogging 30 min as start it helps to sort things in your brain, sports give you a good hormone kick that is needed to do a "desktop work" with less effort.

    The other one is depression, like hell the anxiety keep you from doing anything, on some point you starts to sleep all things away like 12-18h a day, on the end that could take some time from weeks up to years without medication be careful by using this one have a really high chance of by-product called suicidal thoughts. Therefor i do not recommend this one.

    Or you can just sleep. Sleeping sounds more relaxing. With pillows to hug and blankets to cover you. Plus you'll have a bed to lie on, soft comfy bed.

    The best way is to sleep.

    Another possibility is:
    Read without any distraction for a few hours straight.
    There is a rare chance of hitting a state where you literally have no thoughts or even realize you are there for awhile.
    I don't know how long it lasts because I don't realize it's happening until it ends.
    Being in a dark room, having music running to block noise, reading something good, and not moving or paying attention to your body seems to help.

    It's bad for your body, very addictive, and hard to get to again, so it's probably not a good thing to try. But it exists.
    It's called 'Flow' and apparently different people can get to it through different activities, reading is only one of them.

    dolphin sleep. it happens to me when I try to sleep with light on. I am still conscious, but only part of me and 6 hours pass in a flash

    On serious note, you are focusing on all the wrong things in meditation. If you are focusing on time skipping, your mind will hung up on how frekin bored you are.
    Focus on breath and nothing else.

    the original time machines... Showers when you intend to take a 5 min shower you end up taking a 30 min one... when you want to take a long shower it feels like its only 5 mins when you have to get out. sadly they usually end up doing the opposite of what you want...

    I died laughing.
    Now I'm sitting here trying to decide, since it's cheese I like, does it bother me if part of the process of the cheeses creation is the cheesemakers washing their dicks in it?
    What if that's the secret to the amazing flavor?!?!

    Indeed, that is an amazing feat of mind meditation. You have started asking the right philosophical questions. Now all you need to do is to test whether washing dicks in cheese wey makes the cheese taste better.

    Make a youtube video and watch the subscriber count rise like the dicks of virgin boys watching hot curvy girls in bikinis.
