He wasn't forced into the marriage, didn't he marry her of his own volition and even pay off her debt? And she did try to talk to him a lot of times, she tries to explain but he never listened. And ofc she had to bottle up her emotions, she had NO ONE, not her family, not her husband..not even friends. :/ Even if she wanted to make friend her statues was too low bc of how she was cast out bc her husband supposedly didn't like her and never spent time with her. And unsaid expectations? Like, being treated with respect? Or a being treated as his wife? I think everyone has those unsaid expectations then XD

MC tried to talk to him a couple of times and then just gave up because of her pride. I do acknowledge that their relationship wasn’t healthy but it’s not only ML’s fault that an adult MC couldn’t say anything to him and his parents and didn’t know how to take care of herself.
She was selfish and thinking about herself and projecting her beliefs onto her husband and he did the same thing to her. It is unfair that during the novel timeline it was mainly MC who was described suffering while ML was continuing his everyday life as always, but he has suffered all his childhood to become who he is. And then even though without much detail and descriptions he hugely suffered when MC left him and told him a secret of their bodies switching so it’s not like he had it easy in his life.

    For those who wants spoilers:
As I mentioned previously, Winter and Violet returns to Lacround. The next major development after she returns is dealing with the marriage to a 40+ year old noble, Heston, that Ash is trying to force on her. It’s actually kind of surprising that it really seems that he can do it because she begins to write letters to other noble houses to garner their support to fight back. As usual, her terrible mother is sent by Ash to the mansion to add her persuasion to get Violet to accept the marriage. Violet finds out from the mother that the three houses are involved in arranging her marriage to Heston. The houses include her house Lawrence, House Heston and House Blooming. Violet asks what about her opinion and her husband’s opinion. Nobody asked them their opinions. Her shameless mother advises her that marriage is about two families coming together so she isn’t allowed to independently make a decision. She adds that if Violet wants love, she can carry on an outside affair. Violet is irritated. She doesn’t want to live her life like that. The mother tells her that with the large amount of money that she’ll get from Winter in alimony, she’ll be able to comfortably marry into House Heston. Violet immediately informs her that she and Ash won’t get a single penny of the money she gets from Winter. In response, the mother remarks that Ash was right in saying that Violet has changed and has become a money-obsessed wretch like Winter. Violet informs her mother that since she’s acting high and mighty, she wants both the mother and Ash to stay away from her and her settlement money. She adds that since the mother came to speak on Ash’s behalf, go back and tell him that exploiting her husband once is enough. No one of House Lawerence has any right to ask anything further of him. The alimony will be hers and hers alone. The mother says she can’t believe Violet could be so selfish. Violet rebuts that she feels the same way as her. Violet then asks her servants to escort the woman out of her mansion.

Once again, Violet has to visit Winter at his office because she hasn’t heard or seen him for three days. It’s because Winter is at his business trying to convince key employees to cancel the event at his hotel in the north where Violet’s prospective husband, nobleman Heston, will hold a succession ceremony. Winter is livid because one of his key employees (who is also a nobleman) absolutely refuses to cancel the Heston event and rightly points out that business should be separate from personal matters. The Heston nobleman has a lot of clout in the north and if they hurt his pride, it will be bad for their hotel business in the north. Violet arrives to hear the tail end of the argument. She realizes the matter that is being debated between the two men and the employee basically says that they can’t cancel the event and leaves.

Violet apologizes to Winter for causing him trouble and putting his business on the line. She wants him to stop now. Winter can’t agree with that. Violet tells him that she’s been thinking of other ways while she was at home without hearing from him for three whole days. lol (I like how she casually slips in that reprimand) Winter immediately picks up on it and asks her if she’s angry with him. Violet casually tells him that she’s not angry because unlike most people, he’s a person who thinks there isn’t a problem with not getting in touch for three whole days. Winter wonders if she’s being sarcastic or not since it wasn’t clear by the expression on her face. He starts to make excuses. Violet tells him that the next person he marries, he should at least contact his wife to let her know that he won’t be able to come home. Better yet, make an effort to come home instead. (By the way, in a previous chapter Hayell remembers that shortly after Ash swindled Winter out of his money, Winter was sleeping at his office a mere few hours each day and living on water and bread for a period of time until his business began to recover. However, during this harsh time, he would buy Violet dresses despite the fact that he was living and eating so sparsely and only barely began to recover).

Violet tells Winter that she thinks she’ll make herself scarce. He warns her that if she runs away, he will find her. She corrects him by telling him that she’s not running away from him so of course she’ll tell him where she runs away to. That’s her alternative for now to the marriage that Ash is trying to force on her. Winter tells her that he doesn’t want a single penny of his money going into Ash’s hands. She agrees. Winter wants to go on another date with her since they haven’t gone on one in a while. Violet suggests a picnic in their extensive gardens and the two leave to return home. The two doesn’t know that the trash excuse for a human being, Ash, has sent unexpected guests their way who will interrupt their date.

So, earlier, Ash receives correspondence from the Heston family who is upset that Violet is engaging the support of other noble families against the marriage that Ash arranged with the Heston family. The family is embarrassed because apparently they are high muckety mucks and their pride and reputation is everything to them. Ash, being the terrible human being that he is, is livid with Violet. He feels that since she insists on divorce for her own selfish reasons, it’s only right that she compensates by marrying the Heston nobleman like he arranged. The guy actually thinks that all of his choices so far has been just and reasonable. He paid off the country’s debt and quelled the public’s anger. (This guy actually thinks he paid off the debt like it’s not Winter’s money that he swindled. Absolutely disgusting!) He thinks that all he needs to do now is marry off Violet but she isn’t cooperating. Since he’s in a foul mood, he wants to go hunting. However, he’s shortly informed that there is a group of miners’ wives outside the royal palace seeking his help because the salt mine in a certain area collapsed at the entrance and trapped their husbands. Ash is enraged that such lowly people would dare attempt to visit him for a mere trifle like this. He takes down his shotgun as though he’s going to threaten them but his servant reminds him that there are journalists these days who are antagonistic towards him and an action like that will be terrible publicity. The trash therefore reluctantly decides to go face the situation without violence.

On his way, Ash gripes about his father’s mistakes that led to him having to give up the royal palace. However, it seems that Winter bought up all the property at the royal castle that isn’t designated as belonging to the country. lol The piece of trash thinks that Winter did it for revenge. When he gets to the palace, the women get on their knees and beg him to save their husbands. The man is irritated and unwilling to help but it suddenly occurs to him that he can pass the buck on to Violet. He thinks it’s a win-win situation for him since any refusal of Violet’s will divert media attention away from him to her and the matter will also keep her busy and stop her interference with engaging the nobles to support her against the marriage arrangement with Heston. He informs the ladies that he will get his beloved sister to resolve the problem on his behalf and actually has the audacity to send them to her mansion. He also tells them that his sister’s husband is Conic so he will also help them. The trash then leaves to go hunting with friends.

The wives arrive at the mansion and indeed interrupts Winter’s picnic in the gardens with Violet. The servants informs her that the group of wives is outside the mansion seeking her help. Violet, of course, goes to hear about the matter. She immediately resolves to help them. This decision instigates a huge argument between her and Winter. The people are Conic and Winter argues that there is no benefit to her helping them. Furthermore, she will be wasting the time she needs to engage the support of nobles to prevent Ash’s efforts to marry her off to Heston. There’s also the fact that if she decides to run away, they haven’t made any preparations toward the goal. Violet, however, insists on helping the Conic wives. Even more so now because they remind her of him and her regretful desire that she couldn’t have been there for him when he was five years old (when his mother abandoned him at a restaurant) or when he was twelve years old, etc. Winter is flabbergasted and asks her what does that has to do with her. She was only five years old when he was twelve years old. The two doesn’t see eye to eye on the issue and Violet leaves with the conic to request the help of the idle firefighting crew situated at the palace grounds. Winter already warned her that the firefighting crew are noblemen and they won’t want to help outlanders and just as he said, they didn’t want to. However, since Violet will accompany the group to the mines, the crew is forced to accompany her since their duty is to protect the royal family.

Conclusion after read chapter 78-79 in the novel>
Violet is a textbook person, an idealist to the bone
Winter is 100% a realist, thinks with experience.
no wonder they have communication problems :ROFLMAO:

even the conic woman Iglin (Winter's vice president) can guess Winter has a boring marriage life after she talks briefly with Violet :D Winter likes to joke around, but Violet is too "noble" to follow his jokes

Perez Doss (a friend of Violet's sister) and Winter's employees said that Winter's attitude towards Violet was already "very soft" (for Winter's level).

but I'm glad to see Violet getting bolder and starting to imitate Winter's way of speaking, to the point she could say "My husband has ruin my manner" when she confronts with the firefighters.

In a nutshell, both of the protagonists have self-worth issues and romance wasn't the solution [a realistic scenario].

It's not about who could've done better in their relationship because Winter and Violet would've worked things out within days if it weren't for Ash and the Blooming family aka 'over the top greedy freeloaders'.

Hai... I'm here because the chapter 48th in manhwa, I think. There's Lady Lizzy of Yejimchuk family, I think, she got blushes onto Winter. So, I wanna know she's fallen in love with Winter or not? And if she is, can someone tell me, Winter of course, must be reject her. But, I wanna know how much changes that Lady's attitudes to Violet?

Wait I’m kind of confused I thought that because of Winters clan and Violets bloodline (something like that) they couldn’t have kids together, or was this when the Bloomings gave her drugs to make her think she was pregnant?

A big part of it is that readers forget that, if Winter had had a not-evil family, Violet would have been pretty much fine.
Winter believes that his father, step mother, and half brother all love him. Or at least will be his family and treat him very, very well because he gives them money. So it was his expectation that, because of this, they would treat his wife extremely well, while he worked on restoring their finances.
I really don't begrudge him this belief, because 1) he is their benefactor, it makes sense he thinks they would go along with his wishes, and 2) the level of slimey, scumbag, nastiness they employ is so far outside of the norm for human behavior, it is shocking, and anyone would have difficulty believe anyone human could treat others this way.
    Like they:
    1. She has a known heart condition from childhood. They purposefully have the doctor prescribe her outdated medicine with significant, deleterious side effects. Then they constantly gaslight and mock her about whether or not she's actually sick, and force her to do stuff while she's feeling poorly. Then they spread malicious gossip throughout society that she's a high maintenance hypochondriac who pretends she's ill because she's so pretentious about being a princess, so other people mock and shun her.
    2. They steal her property. They take the profit from the 500 acres she had received to subside on (which was actually only 10% of what she was supposed to have, had her own brother not schemed with the head of a bank to steal the rest) They take the gifts she's sent. She's barely given anything to live off of. While they are well aware of the actual financial situation, they gaslight her about being a burden, and being near bankruptcy, taunting her that she's useless, worthless, and should feel guilty for the loss of the promised title.
    3. They harp on her if she wears anything slightly nice, or cheerful, or does anything enjoyable.
    4. She's not allowed to go anywhere, or meet any friends.
    5. The half brother sexually harasses her constantly, and the parents know and don't do anything.
    6. They use her as a punching bag at parties, just because they find it fun to belittle a princess.
    7. For no reason at all, they spread her sex life publicly, then say both that she's infertile/ broken, and a stuck up snob who isn't doing her 'wifely duties', when they are very aware that Winter cannot have children. The send her f****ing babyshoes when they 100% know she is not pregnant.
    8. They feel completely justified and comfortable issuing corporeal punishment, having the servants restrain her, and locking her in closets to force her to comply with their wishes.
There's other stuff, but none of that is normal, all of that is insane.

If they were normal people and regular in-laws, Violet might have been on the bummed out that her husband doesn't come home side, but she wouldn't have been broken and suicidal. She also would have gotten all of his gifts he sent, and at least known he was thinking about her and had hope, and they could have helped her get his attention. She wouldn't have been mentally and socially tortured to the point of killing herself.

We can certainly see Violet’s confidence now that she’s no longer under the thumb of that awful family. Now the only person trying to rule her life is her trash brother, Ash. I still can’t believe he has the right to marry her off after her divorce. Well, thankfully that can’t happen anymore because Violet just told Winter that they should call off the divorce. The only other option would have been for her to runaway to another continent. It’s kind of ridiculous that Ash still has that power over her.

I found the fallout between Winter and Violet, just before his near death in a plane crash, interesting. Finally in a fit of anger Winter revealed to Violet how traumatizing it was to see her blow her brains out in front of him. Violet had no idea that’s why he’s still having terrible nightmares for more than a year after the incident. All she knows is that the servants are often on alert because Winter often have terrible nightmares. One night Violet heard it herself but Winter didn’t tell her why he’s having these nightmares to the point that he has to drink alcohol to fall asleep. Even the servants don’t understand why he’s plagued by these nightmares but they are accustomed to providing what he needs when the nightmares occur.

So, Violet finally finds out the truth after she tells Winter that the way in which his parents treat him is not love and that they take advantage of him. I was so shocked when Winter swore at her and walked off but not before telling her that she also blew her brains out in front of him and that’s why he keeps having nightmares. Well, that was a quite shocking development for me because I don’t think Winter has ever used swear words on Violet.

Later Hayell asks him how can he just leave Violet at the hall like that. Winter asks him if he also thinks his parents don’t love him and are only using him. Hayell basically says yes and he also thinks like Violet. It seems that Winter is very hurt by this because if his parents don’t love him then he has never received love in his life and he basically doesn’t understand what love is. This is why he thinks affection is shown by money because of the way his parents reinforced that quid pro quo.

Still, Violet understands that she hurt him in both cases. The traumatizing nightmares and telling him that his parents’ brand of love isn’t real love. Winter hasn’t come home since that day so Violet goes to see him to reconcile but Winter was already up in the air in a rain storm flying the experimental aircraft. Fortunately he survived the crash because he ejected a few seconds before the crash after Violet persistently urged him to eject through the communication system (I forgot what it’s called but it’s not voice operated. It’s like using code) After that Winter had surgery and Violet refuse to leave his side until he wakes up. When he does, she tells him to let them cancel the divorce. She gives the excuse that running away isn’t a good plan and the only way to reject the marriage with the Heston man (who, by the way have at least one grown son) is to stay married to him. Winter makes her promise not to ever bring up divorce again and that she will always eat her broccoli. Privately, Violet acknowledges to herself that she’s fallen in love with Winter again.

There's still a lot of people who hates winter "Personality".
    Yes

You hate his personality and character. Personally i didn't think he did anything wrong intentionally. He just do this and that to violet based on what he experienced with his environment. And i wont said violet's wrong too because she's weak or anything. She's already do her best to overcome the burden, justlike winter.
Only their way of action is different. If Violet way is to survive, try suicide and then runaway. Then Winter way is to survive and show his hatters what he can do and receive their fake love happilly because he lact that.

    Who's wrong here?
    Violet? No
    Winter? No
It's all about the difference of personality and how they handle it based on their characters.

But yeah, it's useless to debate anyway. Because if you already think winter types of personality is worst then it will be.

If you know MBTI, then i can guess Violet MBTI is INFP and Winter is INTJ. and from what i remember (if im not wrong, correct me if not), INFP is the highest feeler when INTJ is the highest thinking level. Of course if they don't try to understand each other, they are better to be separated.

This story isn't just about how the cold winter finally understand the very soft hearted Vio. But their story to understand each other way of thinking and loving, then living together as husband and wife being tolerance couple.

Referring to the Meyer Briggs personality test. INFP and INTJ are personality types. I know the I is introverted but don’t know the others off the top of my head.
