Both. Useless comments only in novel translated by Burning Feathers.

 

Either it's the critical piece of information that needed to be said, or don't do it. It ruined the flow and made me dropped the novels.

Also, I see someone telling someone else how useless their rant is, but that person is still replying, so it's not that useless after all.

 

If this thread was useless we won't have gotten so many responses.

 

Well, you tried. Feedback is feedback.
Replying to the Translator/group how, little translating notes/comments affect your reading experience is a sound complaint.

Urging for a change in the format/style isn't bad either.

But ultimately, it is up to the editor(if there is one, if not then the Translator) to decide.

On another note, grammar wise I think your title should be critique instead of critic.

 

Generally speaking I just bash whoever make this kind of thread, but... In all honesty, I agree with the OP, it breaks my immersion a lot when I see this kind of thing.

Like... Can't you use footnotes? It's not that hard...

 

I kinda care, but only if the person bringing it to my attention is not being an asshole. Every comment on Burning Feather's has to be approved before they're shown in the comment section. How do you know I read their comment if they commented? It'll be in the comment section, most likely with a response.

 

Jokes on you, we're the only group wading through the bullshit that is Manuke FPS, even if only because I'm a stubborn fox.

Lol so you saying that if you find normal novel by your standart it will not prevent reader from reading those useless comments in a middle of text?

 

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but if you can clarify that statement; that'd be lovely.

 

Ok for example you decide to translate " War and peace" by Tolstoy. And in a middle of first chapter's text you put comment like "lol this author so boring". Get it?

 

Also i wonder what department of Burning Feather's decide to put comment like this in last chapter of Manuke:

I think I understand what you're saying, and aside from clarification notes so those who don't understand how a gun actually works, snide comments are kept below 3 per chapter. Some don't even have one.

 

If you're trying to insult me, you might want to master the english language more.

 

Why should i do that? If you find that comments has insulted you then you should ask first to yourself why you do it in a first place. Also grammar not my problem only. You should reread last chapter too cause it has duplicate sentenses.

Maybe if text has undeleted sentences it also have some grammar problem. I just suppose it. Maybe it dont have . Just think about it.

 

The grammar definition is not a philosophy and up for debate. Your inability to articulate what you're trying to say has nothing to do with it.

 

I'm honestly just going to come out and say this conversation is pointless. I'm not interested in getting in a slapfight with someone who isn't even competent enough to talk shit right. I'm bowing out of this on grounds that its a wait of my time.

 

You say this like below three per chapter is a small amount. A reasonable way to describe it would be "up to three per chapter", since the normal amount is zero.
