I have a silly wish: for once I’d like a transmigrator to be forced to conform to the tastebuds of the host body. I mean, I myself have a tongue where even slight amounts of black pepper burns. Even if someone who loves black pepper transmigrates into my body, the physical reality of pepper burning my mouth isn’t going to change. So, how come transmigrators food preferences always seem to stick to their original body, rather than adapting to the host body’s? I’d really love to see a story where the transmigrator has to adapt to different tastebuds… Does anyone know of one? Thanks!
Um... that would be a Reincarnator's problem. A transmigrator still has their original body. Please don't confuse the both. Edit: What the fuck? Auto-link function, are we now?
Isn't a transmigrator usually a soul that takes over another's (dead) body? Ofc, there r instances of being transmigrated with ur original body, but they r rarer. A Reincarnator, I think, refers to someone who is reborn with a brand new body (as an infant) with memories of his/her previous life intact.
Funny thing I just read the manga Cafe in the otherworld where the female protagonist keep saying the otherworld food as bland. Not just that, they also complain about modern european food. That is like foreigners complaining about japanese fish dishes are raw and undercooked.
I thought it was a transported that still has their original body? Transported = Has the same body Reincarnator = Reborn with new body Transmigrator = Taking over another person’s body Regressor = Mind returning to the past body Returnee = Return from other world (can be transported or transmigated)
Wow! Now this is confusing me. We need official tags for these, what say you both? Gather us members, and have the higher ups consider this act? Hmm? I only know of reincarnated, transmigrated, and returnee protagonists. The others are summoned or banished protagonists. First time I've heard of transported or regressed protagonists, but I did read stories like that, the Korean novels to be exact.
Kitchen Xiuzhen MC transmigrates into a body with no sense of taste or smell. Gets it back in recent chapter though
Kinda half joking recommendation: Swap ⇔ Swap by Tomekichi A yuri manga where MCs switch their souls/bodies. One reason of their switching/swapping is enjoying food they disliked by eating it with the other FL's body. But idea not often used of course.
This is one I just came up with: Traverser = Capable of traveling across and between worlds (world hoppers, gate to another world, etc.)
No, but I forgot the function existed until now. There's already a tag for this, but I forgot what it was.
