    Ok so I am reading around chapter 400 where mc is at the academy where he is still doing herb picking and I'm wondering when he actually starts getting stronger? Like what chapter (or if he even does)? I'm thinking like does he get yun che strength like in ATG? Or is he always at the bottom rung of the ladder? Because so far it just seems like he is picking daises and badmouthing people...

    He actually gets pretty strong,
    but mostly he is still the underdog bcs of meeting even stronger people and stuff.

    Its strength building is slow but he gets strong towards the end of that arc, in terms of regions lol

    Yi Yun is actually slowly building himself up at that point. His pace is decent but he doesn't truly start to power up until he hits the Grand Empress Mystic Realm.

    that academy part was more interesting to me than the later arcs.

    He may skip 1 lvl above if his current realm maxed/peak , against the same realm is undefeated unlike Lin ming that jump 1 realm and a half kinda yi yun like MC from MGS...

    No every experience he has in that academy is increasing the chapter count by 20. Allowing all of us to reread the same things but with different names.

    He starts getting strong once he picks a primordial herb, but he stays overshadowed until he leaves for The Tian Yuan Mainland. At that point, although there will be strong enemies Yi Yun will not be overshadowed.

    Don't expect much bcoz from where you are it's gonna get worse bcoz of certain antagonist. He starts to gets powerful in great empress arc and right now he is on track of getting stronger.
    Unlined Lin Ming who gets more op as the story progresses, Yi Yun is slower in that aspect.

    Edit: if you want estimated chapter no. then it's after 490.

    How is Yi Yun doing herb picking at Chapter 400+. The short herb picking arc was just from 175 to 193. In Chapter 400, he's already in the Tian Yuan World's Lin Family residence?
