Soren59, do you guys find the raw somewhere and use a MTL service/website to translate it to get it "faster" than you would otherwise? Just curious since you and a few others seem to be able to find and do the MTL thing before the "proper" translation comes through

Generally it's easy to find raws by searching the original Chinese name of the novel on Google (真武世界 in this case for TMW)

Works well for CN novels, not so well for JP novels, haven't tried it with KR.
Sometimes it bugs out and doesn't translate properly but when I do it on Chrome Incognito it works. Don't ask me why (I think it might be because Incognito resets the cache). I also suggest using Ctrl+Shift+V rather than Ctrl+V when pasting from raws.

I recommend making an account for Systran because that way you can make a personal dictionary for specific terms like names and such like this. Doesn't require any form of payment or bank info.

For translating individual terms, I'd first use Google Translate and translate the whole term as well as each individual Chinese character separately. Sometimes I have to look them up, usually on https://baike.baidu.com/ which is essentially a Chinese encyclopedia, sometimes it explains words that aren't translated well by Google.

Also, try searching for terms on https://lnmtl.com/term for reference if you're not sure. There are a ton of terms there that have already been translated by readers of CN novels on LNMTL.


PS: For future reference when you're asking a specific person something I recommend either quoting/replying to their post or using @ in front of their name like @MarkofWisdom so that it shows up in their notifications, or they might miss it.

Thanks a ton, lots of good info. Good to know, I know some of the stuff that used to be on LNMTL but got removed for whatever reason, so being able to locate the raws and having an MTL tool will be useful if I want to read ahead in those series
