All the novels I read I once did so with great interest, but after 50 or more chapters some go down the hill and now I'm "unwillingly" reading them coz I feel there is still a chance for them. Also I noticed how once you read everything translated and continue with a ~chapter a day, it becomes less interesting especially if even more times passes though not for every novel, for example I look forward to every ST release. My unwilling novels would be Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World Demon’s Diary Upgrade Specialist in Another World Wu Dong Qian Kun that's about it, thought there would be more..

I would drop it. Then if I am really bored, then I gave it a chance.. (prolly by skim read a few chapters) if I still cant get in to it, then Id drop it.

Drop it and find something else. If i'm not enjoying it, why would I read it? Maybe a month or two later I might feel like reading a few chapters and pick it back up again, but I'm never going to force myself through the chapters.

I skip and read the end if it's completed
Or read the spoilers if it's only completed in the raws

novels should be getting better as you read further in the story.

though a bad novel is pretty easy to identify once you get past 30 chapters or so. If you realize the author is just not good enough, save your time and drop it.

I enjoy reading in bulk, so I wait. Also check the forums if certain shitty novels got better...

    - if the novel become bad (but not yet completed) then put it on hold (add to your reading list but dont read it yet) and wait for someone talk about it later on... if its still no good then you can drop it
    - if you have problem with slow translation then simply put it on hold and search for other novel in the mean time until the novel that you hold have a bulk of chapter

~> dont force yourself to read as it will make you to hate that novel (wich you probably love)

I don't think it's that complicated for me. If I don't like it anymore I just drop it. Otherwise, if I grew tired from reading 1 chapter per day I just transport the novel to the on-hold list and check them again when there's more chapters and read in bulk.

I forced myself through the last 5 volumes of Ark so I could read the sequel which was reccomended to me. I have a flash of annoyance go through me every time I hear 'ark' now.

    I should've just dropped it.

    Drop those novels.

I temporarily put stuff on hold and I might come back to it in the future but some series I just drop cause I know I don't want to read them.

depend on how bad it is i guess. if it became unbearable, i guess ill drop it, untill someone pick up the topic, and mention how after that few chapter, the novel started to be good again
if it's not that bad, i guess i'll just skim reading it
then again, i havent seen any novel that suddenly became that unbearably bad
thanks to the fact that i'm easilly entertained, i guess

Pretty much how i am. Unless a series really is something i know i dont want to read, generally i put hold on stuff until there's enough chapters to check to see if it gets better.

I've always had a thing for completing anything I start, so I tend to just go all the way through with a novel if I've started reading it unless I find it particularly awful. Though, with motivation to read it low I do just leave it sit around til it builds like 50+ chapters and I can marathon it on a boring day. EX: Close Combat Mage, Ark (I want to finish this one cuz i'm so close, but it just kills me anymore), Xian Ni (Torn between waiting for the full Re-TL and reading from the beginning or not), Law of the Devil (Got boring, people say the latest arc is good, so I'll probably try to catch up soon. I'm like 103/156.)
