OOC Thread Here Credits to Dethwing for designing this setup in MafiaScum. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Upick Dethy FMGeneral Rules: Mechanics and Game Details: The game starts at Wednesday February 10th, 03.30 PM EST Day Phase last 24 hours. Night Phase last 24 hours. The game starts with a Night Zero. Roles will be revealed upon death. Sanity will not be revealed upon death. Mafia kills are not mandatory. Mafia cannot kill during Night Zero. Mafia kills do not need to be assigned. There is no last will mechanic in this game. There is no Discussion Time in this game. Lynch: Plurality: the person with the highest number of votes at the end of the day gets lynched. Majority: If at any point of the game the majority of the players vote on one person, the day will end immediately and that person will be lynched. In case of a tie, nobody will be lynched. How to vote: The only votes that count are as follows: There is a list of names at the second post. The first person to vote quotes that list and uses it in their post. They put the name of the person they want to vote for next to their own name on the list. Then at the bottom of the post they put the persons name with a "- 1". The next person quotes the previous poster's list. If two people use the same list the person whose post appears second does the clean up of the two lists. Votes inside quotes or spoilers do not count. Any players who have not voted at the end of the day will be given a warning. [No Lynch] is a valid option to vote. Posting Requirements: Every player is required to post at least 10 posts every Day Phase. If a person doesn’t meet the required amount within a day, they will be prodded (i.e. tagged by the hosts, asking whether they can still play the game). Oh yeah also I just wanted to mention I also had some half-baked plan somewhere that I'm too sleepy to remember But it was something along the lines of... figure out who's who after 2 nights and then lynch and then win but that's not going to happen lol
Okay, back to mechanics... The game this time seems to lean towards analysis... So... Personally, I expect all results to be shared. The simplest really is to just go to the analysis route (referenced in the link in the original post). On that note... Unless we have at least three people that checked the same person, leading to the same result... Maybe we should... go no lynch today? I think that's doable, especially since we can minimize mislynches. Then coordinate our checks for N1?

Okay so say we mislynch D1: 3v1 Then N1: 2v1 Then D2 we're at LYLO lol Then say we no lynch D1: 4v1 N1: 3v1 D2: mislynch: 2v1 N2: 1v1 D3: mafia reaches parity, they win So... aren't we doomed either way D2 after 2 mislynches? Whether we lynch D1 or not? In that case, I'd rather lynch D1... tell me if my reasoning's flawed tho
Also time to explain my vote on Hasty girl: Yes, it's too early to tell, yes, 2/5 players have not gotten on yet. But it's so weird (dare I say scummy...?) for her to just come on and ask "anyone on?" Like 1. if you're a cop, share your results at least?? We're all either cops or mafia, so there's literally nothing to hide. What's the point of asking if anyone else is on? 2. Again, why ask for other people to make conversation when you can do it yourself? Seriously. If I had gotten on 40 minutes earlier, my first post would be "I checked Hasty and got mafia, what about you guys", at the very very least. I'd add on to that by talking mechanics/flavors, not just say hi and bye. That's not very townie of her imo. Sus!
We don't need four nights to identify everyone. We simply don't have enough information on the first day. Given N0 and N1, there should be enough to at least clear some people. That is faulty. It disregards the fact that we should be able to localize the mafia by D2 by analyzing the results we do have. The most direct is whether we start D2 with 2v1 or 3v1. But we have so much more information when it's the latter, to analyze who's what cop or not.
Um... lemme think~ N0: we all check randomly N1: we'll have assigned checks to everyone. In my case, since I got mafia for Hasty, I'll get to know whether I'm paranoid or not my second check. N2: If my results went like M T M, I know I'm insane and my second check is mafia. If it went M T T, I know my second check is mafia. But... the game won't ever get to D3 right?
I meant the timeline... if I missed stuff in my timeline If I'm being honest, I'd prefer 1v2 over 1v3 the last day if only because that narrows down possibilities and also prevents some 2v2 no lynch situation. Oh wait... I forgot no lynch, gotta include that timeline. Anyways, I think we need 3 nights minimum to be sure. Otherwise we won't be able to tell the difference between sane/insane. Or we could lynch to find out whether the person's sane/insane, so maybe that's 2 nights, idk.
So updated timeline with no lynch (max time game can be dragged out): D1: 4v1 (no lynch) N1: 3v1 (maf NK) D2: 3v1 (no lynch) N2: 2v1 (maf NK) D3: LYLO Ohoho, we get to D3 that way~ Though I don't think this timeline is good either because what if the maf kills the sane/insane and leaves us with only the paranoid/naive? Then it's just RNG... feels kinda pointless then
