So, in a month (14th of January) I will be going to Japan for 10 whole fun days. Aside from being excited, I am also interested in what are good places to visit. So I am asking the community with a lot of.. fans? of Japan. So if the kind (lel) community can help me by giving some interesting things to visit. Here are some stuff to know. Ill be staying in Tokyo because of the visa office. I'll buy the JR pass for 7 days. So I'd like to use those days to go around the country. After that full Tokyo exploration mode. I move really fast. So visiting a museum or anything big that takes hours, will last way~~~ less than that. So give more things for me to see~ Food locations, museums, galleries, parks, treasures and the otaku stuff are all welcome. Good recommendations will be paid in nuffies. 150 a pop until I run out
I visited Japan earlier this year for a few weeks too! Places to visit would be definitely Tokyo (really must see for Japan), the northern island (the amount of snow is amazing, especially at sea level too, but maybe your stay is a bit short for it?), Kyoto (there are some nice temples), Mount Fuji, and also some place that is more rural In tokyo you should spend a day per two districts, less than that and you won't really see much and don't fall asleep in one of the fast trains... I accidentally travelled through half japan, much further than planned because of it (from east to west, in case you're thinking too much)
If you plan on buying any manga, bring a spare suitcase. I bought a lot of manga when I was there, and I had to buy a new suitcase just to fit everything AND one of them still weighed over 100 lbs! I was there for a full month though, so you probably won't be able to get as much manga, though, so it might not be as much of an issue. If you even want to get any.
Haha, don't give them away them too fast! You'll probably get a few really good suggestions. I was just calling Ai because she'd be able to give a few.
Or.....or he could just mooch off her. Why spend your money when you can spend others. CAPITALISM, BABY!
DUDE.... GO TO AKIHABARA AND WITNESS NEKOMIMI MAID CAFE.... AND ANIME STUFF. GO EAT SOME RAMEN. SUSHI AND TAKOYAKI FROM GOOD SPOTS... why go a museum.... amateurs
I'm more interested to visit japanese school, netcafe, pachinko, kaiten-zushi restaurant and akihabara.. *cough*
There's the Nozawa Dosojin festival on the 15th of January. What kind of visit would it be without experiencing those legendary festivals? The one I would like to recomment would be the Sapporo snow festival though, but its a month later. PS: Having dinner in a street ramen booth can be a nice experience too
I would advise checking reddit. There is a ton of good advice and a community specifically for this question.
Kichi Kichi Omurice Restaurant, Kyoto. It's pretty famous. Edit : if you want to come, try to book it from now
Go to a rice field, see Sakura tree's. Skinny dip in a school pool, visit the local police station. Experience an earthquake/tsunami, hide on mt Fuji. Take a bath in a stream, swim with the fishies. Visit an anime convention, as a popular female character. Okay I'm bored now, go have fun~
I you happen to understand Spanish you can watch Kira Sensei, he has a lot of videos concerning the topic... Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXE2zpwRRfmDCLjOySdFKsQ
