    Entirely depends on the kind of money involved though. Surely if he was a diplomat, he would have his head screwed on the right way and as a result he's probably taken a planned move. I doubt it's much of a gamble.

    Considering the amount unique views wuxiaworld got in it's first year, and how much growth it has. I think ren made a calculated risk. He is betting on the fact that wuxiaworld is still new, growing and is attracting translators and viewers alike. So if he plays this right wuxiaworld world will get hugely popular in the web novel / light novel scene

    Wait, so I assume this means he has sped up his plans for world domination through the mass absorption of xianxia and wuxia novels?

    I mean I think I'm speaking for everyone here when I say i would quite my job if I could just read all day. I only need money for internet and food anyway. If I need money I could just sell myself off a street corner.
    If Trump wins, I'm moving outta the country.

    You know, I had a friend who said he was gonna egg Trump Tower. Guy never made it within 20 feet.

    His parents got really annoyed huh. Can't blame them.

    You have to admit, even if we don't know if what Ren did is good idea or idea or not, he's really one heck of a guy. It takes guts to give up your job with a good stable income and decide to become a full time translator that needs donations. If I had to to describe him in a few words...

    Not to sound creepy or anything, but did a little internet snooping and got a completely different name... is RWX his name or his online name? I ask because that snooping came up with a completely different name.... Anyone else get that?
    BTW, not going to post the name to protect his privacy but he can pm me if he wants to confirm that I do know his name.....

    i remember when ren was translating CD and accepting donations he was make up to 30k-40k a year although that isnt much money but that is about median income in the US and he can make a living out of that and he is working at the comfort of his home. I just hope he doesn't become too fat.
