Discussion Weird interactions with in-laws/ girl/boyfriends parents

My brother is married to a woman who's family is on very good terms with ours. They used to come over nearly every weekend to visit for several years.
Now imagine how awkward it was having to go greet them at their house during his engagement and have them ask "Do you remember me?" with such an expectant smile while I just stand there nervously looking around and sweating at the palms because I managed to completely forget the names of just about everyone in their family. I sometimes forget my sister-in-law's name and she lives in the same freaking house as I do.

 

It took me a while, but one i got the joke i choked on my sprite.

 

And here we are, with freaking girls getting pregnant at the age of 13... *sigh*

once i heard this story about this crazy chick who's mom wanted her to get pregnant and bought her a turkey baster. so the bf later found her rummaging in the trash for the used condom when he had to come back to get keys.

 

Here is an easy solution to not having and using purposely ripped condoms, just don't accept condoms from anyone and in my opinion if you are not man enough to buy condoms yourself then you shouldn't take the responsibility of having sex. Though this is coming from an 18 year old anti-social hermit who has never had a girlfriend

Might as well accept them anyway, if you dont itll lead to many more awkward situations with their parents. Its bad enough they are accepting you having sex with their daughter, if you refuse the condoms up front your essentially telling them your either doing it unprotected, or you dont trust them. Neither is a good idea for somewhat happy in-laws to be.

 

what is scarier if the GF actually knows it or if she was the one who suggested the whole plan.

You know the conversation started from her. She wanted a baby, but couldnt bring it up. So mommy said shed handle it..just like she did to get her.

 

Dependable mommys are scary...

Sure, but I think he was getting more at the not using them part, rather than specifically not accepting them.

My mom supposedly forgot her own name because she was only called by her nickname for almost twenty years and eventually had to make a namechange (begs the question how she could change it without knowing it) for her license.

The legitimacy is kind of doubtful since there's some obvious holes to be filled, but the moral of the story is that it's easy to forget names

 

It's really ironic. (Now I realised that I never had a nickname... Kinda sad).

 

you know what was weird for me? one of my older brothers married the older sister of my girlfriend. We were broken up quite some time before that but we had no idea what was going on between those two. didnt know they were even into each other like that. So after they got married, it was super awkward.....

Its fine now, but damn.... We didnt ever have sex, but we did make out a fair bit and now, well....i just dont want to think about it.
