    Well obviously it's completely dependent on what you're buying/what sector you're buying from. It's not like you go grocery shopping at the supermarket and wait until they ring it all up and then say 'what if I give you 50 for it?'

    If you're buying say more expensive electronics or something, or bricks you used as an example, something where you are generally dealing with a salesperson, they often have a lower minimum line that they are allowed to sell for. Even if it isn't the case, they often have the ability to add in extra's (accessories or extended warranties etc).

    I wouldn't be as mad if he used me as a punching bad, the guy got all pissy because I couldn't answer his question because I wasn't in that department, so I told him "Give me a second sir, I'll find you someone who can answer you question" then got all mad like "Arnt you a employee here? Why can't you answer, are they training you guys right?! I want to speak to your manager for your lack of knowledge and wasting my time.." .... I work in the stock room and receiving room.... I only know stock counts.. not how many coupons you can put onto a item and still get a discount from a online sale... ;-; needless to say my manager let me take a break after that to relax (Yey paid breaks)

    bargaining in chinatown SF, pricetags sometimes are non-existing
    Makes me wonder if that guy has a job, lol. At least you got a paid break *thumbs up*

    only thing I can say is thank god our store has a limit of coupons per item. (1). so we don't get the extreme couponer's, just angry brides and elder people who can't find correct stuff or want to save money...

    I'm hoping I can get my schedule changed, we won't be getting any shipments and I only know how to upstock, stock, purge and run from customers.... ;-; (Also I wish I could listen to music while doing stock)

    I'm not trained for checkout so that's lucky in it's self.. I am stock though so I hope to god I don't get a customer who's all like "Well sir.. I just want you to take me around show me everything and then check me out" ugh.

    In my country you could bargain everywhere beside supermarket & mall. Yes, even when there's discount tag there. I know a store that has 'buy one get one-only for today' sign for months. You could also get discount if you buy a lot (limited to not local store only), or you could go to grosir store (store that only sell product in bulk)
