1. Listening to radio talkshow. Somehow the sound of people talking calms me. 2. Drink tea and avoid coffee. I know tea also contain caffeine, but somehow tea calms me while just a sip of coffee makes me wide awake. Or just be fckng exhausted after work, that works even better.

Definitely not reading novels. That's my number 1 cause of being late for work. Thank god for flex hours. My best way of getting to sleep is being really, really cold. If Im too hot, then no sleep.
That's a right way to sleep. All you have to do is do it. Back in my Uni I always had problem sleeping, but once on holidays sleeping is easier since it's normal to sleep early. Surprise surprise the best sleep is the sleep on time.
Do some light exercise until you feel exhausted and rest for a bit to stop your fast beating heart... When your some stopping your fast beating heart.. You will feel sleepy later on..
Overexhausting myself from work since it's both physical and mental needing one. I still sleep late and lesz than 5 hrs tho.... Gotta wake up in 5 hrs n 16 min :v 3 days free out of 7 but fuck that Sunday working
Watch a boring TV show. Empty your mind or at least try to. Use light drugs of the legal kind. Have at least 4 hours since your last meal. Keep your blood circulation going at a steady rate. Empty your bowels. Run some low, calm, rythmic background noise. Raise your pillow if too low, lower it if too high. Get a water bed. Use a placebo stress dump where you symbolically throw your worries in and pick them back up after waking. Stretch your body until you feel like a wooden puppet that had its strings cut. Drink sleep-inducing tea. Curl into fetal position. Hug something fluffy. Learn to live without sleep.
I envision a space. Only that, I try to envision the same space every time. Which is actually a small white room, with a simple table that is of brown colour and a thinking chair which has a similar colour to that of the table. Each time, I try to add something to this space and try to bring it to the next day's envision. I am asleep in matter of seconds. That is, unless there's noise around, because that makes my head ache and that makes imagining a whole deal harder.
Drink coffee with sugar. Guaranteed to make Ai-chan sleep within 30 minutes and provide satisfying dreams.
I’ve never followed any guidelines like that. If I want coffee I’ll have coffee. I’ve even had coffee past midnight... That’s a lot of interesting ideas. I’ve never slept on a water bed. I wonder what it feels like. I like this idea. Though I’m sure I’ll probably fall asleep and the next night forget the thing I added to the white space~ Everyone else is saying it out loud. Why did you add that in the spoiler? Is it the coffee or the sugar that’s doing it for you?
Actually that's one of its sparkling advantage. If that wasn't the case, you would be bored in a month at max. And I have been going at it for years now. It's a lot like memory palace. Only, you can control yourself, your condition and emotions better through this. It helps you become more imaginative, helps your memory and off course, it's a good mental excercize that keeps you away from those bothersome thoughts. That is why, you must start from really small things, things that are awfully close to you. For eg, the first items I added to the space were actually the table and the thinking chair. The table used to be my computer table, I got it when I was four, along with the chair. And whenver I was at home, I would only sit on that very chair. The table too is closely tied with me, I used it as a study table, as a dinner table, even as a place to just put my legs on. Although now, the chair is broken and the table is occupied with other things, I have them with me. And it's with these things, you create a place where you can be most comportable. If you do it long enough. You will condition that place with sleep, whenever you enter it, after a few seconds you would be asleep.
Coffee activates my brain so that Ai-chan can remember my dreams, sugar gets me to sleep. Yeah, it's proven by science that sugar makes you sleepy. There's no such thing as sugar rush. Sugar (or at least processed sugar) is actually a sedative.
Reading or watching something while lying down, even if I don't want to fall asleep, it happens if I do so for too long.
