The updates on arc 2 should be up to date.
Arc 2 is drawn by a different person which is why arc 3 is already available.

 

I don't know whether to be angry that this thread got way more attention than a similar one i made like two days ago, or to be happy i (though technically not me) got such a wonderful answer *random girl shows up* why not bo- *a hand grabs her by the neck* NO! I'll be happy

many people hate the MC, but i think his reaction is right.
when normal people live in peace and he get incident like that many people will broke and act out mind.
i like this anime because different point view.
but i'm still waiting this arc is done 'cause is too hard to bear the feeling

For me, Re Zero is one of the best Isekai + Time Travel Anime/LN out there. I could rank it within Steins;Gate (but I still like Okabe more, Okarin~!) Psychological limits of an ordinary human is believable, Non-OP but determined MC, an MC who know his own weaknesses, a very, very, very (Emphasis) believable world building, lovable and non-sudden ship (RemxSubaru) and many more I couldn't count. I rarely like a dark and sadistic story (Like Kuro no Maou), but this one is my cup of tea. Thumbs up to Sadistic Author.

Re:zero is a good serie despite MC being the weakest creature, the suffering increases with each volume, some loops with more chapters become repetitive, mc is more afraid to die than to be tortured, hard to not feel sorry for the guy while u expect him to become stronger; he doesn't. He can only rely on other ppl and somehow is building a harem: emilia, rem and the witch...well he does deserve a harem i guess.

yes that's exactly the episode I got it from where he starts to doubt whether he'd revive again since he was planted with fear when his heart was gripped by the hand of the jealous witch.

 

The author is sadistic to not only MC but the readers too~

to him maybe he doesn't know if he'll revive again for sure. It was never his power to begin with after all. It was given by the jealous witch who is an enigma.

 

However his power to return to starting point after death reminds me of the manga and novel All You Need Is Kill.. which was made into movie starring Tom Cruise 'Edge Of Tomorrow'.. all versions and adaptations were fun.. though haven't read the novel yet..

I only read the manga , i didn't have much hope for the mc , he seems a bit useless to me is ok to not be OP , but some skills in magic or with the swords ? , tho i've to admire his mental strength.
The plot is ok i guess .

 

I really hope that the one(s) who made get(s) a raise. That is the only scene in this anime that has made me think, "Damn... the animation and the art is beautiful."

Re:Zero is a good anime with a really crappy protagonist that I would like to kill, but thinking of how much of a piece of shit he is he has a lot of place to grow. If they develop him well, I won't be thaaat mad that Subaru is the type of people I would kill if I had a gun and was stuck with him, but if they leave him as he is right now, then I will spout crap about the anime for some time
