Discussion What do you want to see more of in xuanhuan?

A lot of us read loads of xuanhuan and whine about what we don't like (lol) so I figured I'd ask a different question.
What do you wish you could see in xuanhuan?

I mean, we all want enemies who aren't idiots ofc, but I'm talking about bigger things like types of stories / plots

Basically, what do you think of when you feel that xuanhuan series could / should be better?

 

Stories written and perhaps even translated by people who actually studied literature.

I'd like to read a xuanhuan or even a xianxia about a completely average cultivator. Not a protagonist character or an antagonist character, just that average sect disciple who slowly and steadily builds himself up all while watching the protagonists and antagonists doing their stuff lol

and to be honest instead of more, I want less, less repetitive, less filler, less padding, less artificial lengthening

Many CN I read has a great start, interesting story and plot but it get burried in dog shits

 

a story where the mc doesn't have to save the multiverse or revive dead people but live like a normal person without plot armor and power-ups making them out grow the foundations laid out at the beginning. they don't got to be trash or start in the worst place ever for the story to be long. they miss use the big worlds and characters by making everyone being stepping stones to showcase greatness of the mc. they're the underdogs why should they have that.

 

Anyrhifns good as long as its got am interesting concept. Something thats not completely bound by the generic tropes.

 

IET cultivation. His MCs always feel so peaceful.

 

There are plenty of shuanhuan that are actually good, they're just not something you can find listed in NU. Which makes sense since the shuanhuan listed on NU came from Qidian. Ai-chan bought some shuanhuan paperback, mostly written and published in Taiwan.

As for what Ai-chan wants out of the stuff here: less face slapping, less repetition and less I am your father.

 

Don't forget disgusting shamelessness from the MC, most if not all CN from China have this. Read on RR a version of a xianxia where the mc doesn't have that disgusting shamelessness all I can say is I truly enjoyed it.
