    Web novel is a web novel, its published online, often free like in Syosetsu.

    Published means its officially published, like in a book form and usually you need to paid for it to read it.

    A lot of published book is from popular web novel, with a lot of refinement from the author, and usually the cannon story of the series. Web novel usually an unrefined draft of a published novel.

    Web novel comes from the web. No physical copy exists and published.

    Published novel are novel that are published. (usually as a physical book)

    Just as the name said.
    web novel: novel written and/or published online. it can be free (syosetu) or it can be blocked behind paywall depending on the platform.
    published novel: means novel released officially (means it is professional). it can also be in the form of web novel (qidian) but usually refer to ones that are printed in book form (Japanese Light Novel).
