Discussion What It Takes To Be A Real Man

Friends! Some time ago I had posted here a blog where I had talked about what it takes to be a man from a gender specific point of view. The blog generated some interesting discussion on gender issue and what it takes to be a hero. Since then I have thought of going into a detailed discussion about what it really takes to be a true man.
A discussion thread is a better place for it. So friends, I am here!
I shall tell you about my view by referencing to the true story of the fighter pilot Alexey Maresyev[2]. Shot in battle over the occupied territory, he for three weeks made his way through the snow-covered forests until he got to the partisans. Having lost both legs, the hero subsequently shows an amazing strength of character, again sits at the helm of the aircraft and replenishes the account of air victories over the enemy.
There is also the reference to Commisar Vorobiev who even in his deathbed laughs and cheers and inspires others. He is the true man whom I have idolized since my school days.

'Real man' is a relative term...there is no set definition. Personally, I just think it means having particular body parts....plain and simple~

Normal person: A real man is someone who is a part of the community and is productive.
A war vetran: This generation has no real men.
Women: Someone who can satisfy their needs- Physical & material.
A psychopath: A real man is someone who has killed before without batting his eye.
Husband: "We'll talk about this after I finish cleaning the utensils."

 

A real or true man? Whether there is a fake or ideal man, that person is still man. For me, what makes a man a man (weird English) is his will to dominate. The instinct to dominate all peers and creation. It is not about being a moral or strong person, but being a person who dominates his morals over other people with his strength. Strength not from his muscles, riches, or knowledge but willpower. The willpower to strive for his ideal future and to live in the present and remember about in the past with less regrets or none. If should a man overcome his greatest fears; he shall never fear failure but learn from it; adapt and become his truest self, a man. Whether this man is evil or good; weak or strong; rich or poor; foolish or wise; he shall dominate his world and his reality shall be ushered with praise, be it fear or awe.

 

A real man is someone who is able to watch Boku no Pico for 10hours straight!

 

And if someone asks what it takes to be a real women,
Feminist will riot saying that we are being stereotypical

Get it right, it would be 'sexist' not stereotypical. But main post: someone who sticks to their morals or baseline no matter what. Also, XY chromosome.
