Question What music do you listen to, while reading?

I like to just hit shuffle on my daily mix on spotify, and just pause the music when i feel like its ruining the mood

 

i read in silence. the only time i listen to music while reading is when it is talking about music and i can listen along. For example in Otherworldy Evil Monarch there is a part where the MC plays a xiao rendition of a poem from earth (he is a transmigrator). so while reading it i looked up the song and listened to it as well.

 

What is the joy of reading novels if you don't constantly have all of your senses occupied? Fingers either scrolling or tapping the down key, blood shot eyes glued to the screen, the smell of sweat precipitating between the bed and your posterior, the revolting bitter taste of being unable to read faster and music blasting in your ears to help ease the tension of sitting in the same spot for what seems like a decade.

My preferences of music are quite broad but they all share the similar concept of being heart-warming instrumentals.

This offers a lot of variety and almost never gets old listening to. I've probably read thousands of chapters just listening to this. Very soothing.

This one seems weird but trust me, if you're reading an epic fight scene, there is no better music (in my humble opinion) to go to than...
.
I've just been putting this music on repeat for years now and it has still kept its charm. Many have told me it's not worthy of being fight scene music worthy but I've kept to my tastes.

 

oh my, now that I think about it. Downloading spotify does sound like a good idea, since you don't really have to care about searching the music afterwards. hmm

 

Ironically, I don't listen to music while reading a fiction novel since it's too distracting, yet when I'm reading notes/textbooks to review for exams, I like listening to music instead since it keeps me focused.
Lo-Fi electronic. My favorite while reviewing is In Love With A Ghost music.

 

If it’s something sad I’m reading I like to listen to the book of love by Peter Gabriel I find it fits the mood great

 

K-pop sometimes esp blackpink and Indian , English songs

The scream of my IQ dying as I try to figure out what the MTL is saying. Otherwise, any of those hour long music videos. I don’t have a strong opinion on music.

 

I listen to Ariana grande lol when I’m reading the average novel, but change to historical drama OSTs when listening to novels w that setting.

Yes, you literally type historical drama ost when you want songs w ancient China vibes. Back then I had a ton of angst bc I couldnt find songs w the right vibe lol

 

I mostly just read in silence. Though if I am listening to music, it's probably some sort of instrumental music.

 

I usually listen to sad songs like How can I love the heartbreak by Akmu.

 

CQL OSTs, the instrumentals. And also other chinese instrumental music. However, I don't really listen to music when I read especially when I'm on my feels.

 

I don't really listen to music while reading since it distracts me from the novel but if I were held at a gunpoint and had to make a choice, I would go for Korean R&B. The scene there is real developed.

 

Listen to soft music or not listening to music at all. it's distract me from my novel

 

I second eyeryone who said they like to listen to instrumentals! Here's the kind of stuff I usually listen to:

 

Instrument, maybe japanese lofi...

 

No music at all. Not fond of listening to music while reading. It's make me distracted
