I was thinking of downloading a Ds emulator but I dunno what games to get. Help? Also if you have recomendations please explain why.
Fire Emblem- the Radiant Dawn and The path of radiance are my personal favorites before the Awakening.
Dragon quest, dragon quest monsters, final fantasy, golden sun, heroes of mana, children of mana, phantasy star, pokemon. The why is simple, rpg's are fun.
I will recommend you lost magic if you're into strategy games. mc invokes monsters to help him advance. you can use magic from six systems, water, fire, earth, wind, light, darkness every power has different characteristics and 3 levels each level is represented by a rune that you need to paint in order to invoke the magic. Later you can mix elements to make more powerful magics and the order of the elements alter it's form and element. Example lvl1 water with another element will make 3 shots instead of 1 of the second element of your choice. Using elements increases your proficiency with said element making it more powerful. You need to save a lot or you will regret and almost everything is with the mouse what can be troublesome for most ppl

Suikoden: Tierkreis. It's a Suikoden game, which needs no further explanation. Unless you've never played any of them before, in which case.. well, man, I strongly recommend you start from the beginning with Suikoden and Suikoden II. .... Anyway, to keep it brief: Suikoden games are classic turn-based JRPGs a la the old Final Fantasy titles or similar. Their main draw is that they always feature some form of base - a castle, a ship, a mansion, whatever - that you expand and develop as you play the game. You fill said base with the game's tremendously large cast of playable characters (traditionally 108 main, several extras). Also, I'm certain you're asking which games you should buy and dump to emulate, otherwise this would be piracy and I'd have to lock your thread. Good thing you didn't use the word download (for the games) anywhere or post any links. Keep it that way, 'kay?~
