Technically not a line but I can't shake off the word "donger" I got off the Strongest system translation. Also now that I managed to find the exact wording from Renegade Immortal: "How many knew that a moth flying toward a fire sometimes wasn’t a yearning for the fire, but the determination to put that fire out!" Was a neat perspective.

What's the meaning of this poem? I have a feeling it's some subtle cuckery but not sure.

Daoist Gu or Reverent Insanity , whichever name you prefer, is full of quotes that changed my life, literally making a wanabee Buddhist out of me.

This is a short quote:
Speaking of Rules and regulations.
"Those who are disappointed, let them be disappointed".

This speaks to me on a profound level, because so much of my life I spent trying not to disappoint. The quote however sends you in the other direction, on a path of acceptance. People will be disappointed no matter how hard you try , that's just human nature.

The second part which is broadly spoken about in the book is , Laws and Rules.
The way people are trapped by self imposed rules and regulations and how people can gain so much power with "authority" , but authority limits what they can do, due to Public perception.

For instance a president has so much power as an individual, but at the same time is limited by the public perception and decency.
A regular person is not limited by those , you don't have to be decent if you don't want to be.

Read the book for yourself , it illustrates the ideas much more clearly that I could ever describe them.
