7 years ago, started with Naruto, remembered the name in a spur of a moment and watched it on YouTube in 360p. Then It was High-school of the Dead. Quite a big jump for a 11 year old.
As some peeps, i was introduced at anime late. Probally 14 or 15 but was interested in hentai at 9 years old. Don't ask me why but i was a curious boy who was introduce to tentacle hentai at an early age....
A lot of children cartoons were around on TV when I was a kid, so I wouldn't be surprised if when I was 3 years old like some others as well. I remember Detective Conan and Sailor Moon being a thing that was on TV.
I've watched Voltes V and Daimos but didn't realize until then. As I got hooked in Code Geas, Full Metal Alchemist and Clannad, I learned that I've been watching anime. Then, wandering various net shoppes and discovered the world of H's.
When i was in junior/middle/secondary school, my only tv time was from 11pm to 12am. And the only thing that caught my interest was inuyasha, fma, detective loki, cc sakura, d.n. angel, cb bepop, saiyuki reload. Most of the time however, my father would watch the news. So i only sporadically watched a few episodes before the anime switched.
Middle was when I really started to get into anime. I did watch anime as kid. But didn’t know that it was anime. So I guess it doesn’t count. My first few anime were, kill la kill, angel beats, fruits basket, fairy tail. Not exactly in this order.
As for me SAO is the first that make me interested in anime. Before that I also watched some anime in TV but I just thought everything that animated is cartoon.
When I realized all the awesome shit was called anime and there was more and better of it was when I was 13-14 years old
Well the feeling they gave are just different bruh. The comparison is like pasta and udon, both are noodles but the taste is so different.
My mother watches anime. When I was little, she would watch it and I ended up watching it with her. She’s a big fan of dragon ball and sailor moon.
I am sure I watched plenty of anime when I was a toddler if all animated series count as "anime" If "anime" means japanese animation, then it was much later.. I don't remember exactly when but I remember, I found manga first and anime later and I was definitely living by my self by then..
I was 10 years old when i was introduced to Pokemon, Digimon and Bayblade. Have not been able to stop ever since.
I was watching animes from my early childhood, although I didn't know they were animes. My first anime was I think the Panda no Daibouken movie which I really loved. In the '80s and '90s I watched a tons of animes (still didn't know they were animes) like Nils Holgersson, Maya the Bee, Moomin, Spoon Oba-san, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Candy Candy, etc. I loved them, and later, in 2001 one of my penpals told me, these are animes, japanese cartoons. So I was introduced to them at the age of 3-4 I just didn't know. XD
My ex-girlfriend introduced me anime after she fed up with me calling Naruto the greatest thing ever when I was 17, or 16? Not quite sure. Now I think Gurren Lagann is the greatest thing ever.
