I finally got my monthly allowance, and since the following months will be full of exams, I have decided to live the rest 2 weeks before them in absolute bliss, lazily playing games and procrastinating to the fullest. I got 20$ I can use to buy in steam. What should I buy? GTA SA 15$ Morrowind 10$ Fallout NV 20$ Darksouls 1 20$ (I think the PC community for online is still alive in this game) What's common between these two games is that, despite their age, they're still popular or have several mods. Honestly, I don't know which to buy. I've played the last 3 beforehand, but it was in console, and they were illegal so I had no access to mods or online play. Any advice?
i feel like darksouls is something where you should play all 3 games right after each other, so i would not buy that unless you're purely interested in the combat. The rest of the games i have not played personally, but they're all pretty popular, so i'd say you should just look at some reviews or gameplay and then decide from there
Morrowind is a classic RPG during the time when Bethesda actually had RPG gameplay. If you want a game where your choices truly matter and the opportunity to play how you want to, then go with Morrowind. I’ve sunk nearly 1,400 hours into it and I still occasionally boot it up now and then.
Yeah, but I played them on consoles. I thought of saving as well, but, honestly, my computer is just too weak to handle those 8 gb ram games that cost 60$. I've played DarkSouls 2, and I absolutely loved the combat. I also wanna try playing online.
This actually depends on what genre of games you prefer. If you prefer something modern, go for GTA. If you want a mix of rpg and guns, Fallout. More to fantasy and RPG, Morrowind. (I have no idea what to categorise darksouls under orz)
from your choice, i heard new Vegas is gonna have a new California mod I think. buy the new battle tech instead. they're dope, make me miss front mission 4(if you like tactic tho!)for rpg try indie game like sword of ditto or shope keep 2(just recommending tho). edit: nvm about my recommendation, I think their spec is on the up zone since they're new, I think.
I like to wait a year or so after the big release. The price on Steam goes down quite a bit, and the patches and updates were all done, so I won't spend as much time 'troubleshooting' how to advance past a bug or even crash. That said, past a certain age, the troubles multiply. 'It ran fine on Windows 7' (or XP), but Microsoft buggered it, and the game developers who created it (not the publishers who own it) are long out of business, so the game will never work right, and may even have some flaming hoops to jump through, to even make it run. Also typically game controller issues galore. I think it was 'Bioshock' that literally demanded I insert something in the microphone port on my computer at the time, to have sound? Just mad bugs on the older games. Caveat Emptor. You probably can't go far wrong with the Bethesda open world sandbox games. If you haven't played Skyrim, Fallout 3, or Fallout New Vegas, they're all dirt cheap, with all of the DLC, and will keep you busy for weeks, each. Psychonauts is great, as long as you treat the part with the 'Meat Circus' as the end of the game. Just stop playing and watch a Youtube video of the end game, instead. 'World of Goo' is a pretty good casual game. South Park, 'The Stick of Truth': HECK YEAH. 'Fractured But Whole': HECK NO!
choose Fallout NV because a very impressive game, addicting too. There is a lot of quests to do and the only flaw about this game is the traveling, it takes too long and there should be some vehicles or something to make you run a lot faster. There isn't much of a story line... You're meant to deliver a package but you get betrayed and shot in the head. You get revived by a doctor and you seek out revenge to kill Benny
