    Yo tragedy lovers!
Can you explain why you love to read tragedies?
Why these sorrowful hearts and flowing tears?
On my part I can say that I need to shed tears to keep my heart from getting frozen.
    What do you say?

Well, if you need to cry and when sad songs does not help at all, you can try to read tragedy tag stories you know. That heart wrenching feel give you a good time to cry.

Hmm i don't really love tragedy that much but i also don't hate it. It fills my emotion bar to the extreme sometimes and makes me cry if i become too attached to the story at times. It's just perfect for some emotional novels.

No idea. I don't cry but my heart does feel the pain. It's a tight clench and it gets numb. It's nice once in while to make sure I'm not too happy

Yeah it's better to let the heart feel the pain of despair sometimes.

Because it brought me to the level of unparallel closeness. It's more... humane and realistic, if I have to say. It's emotional, and full of passion as well as close to reality. The consequence from every action, the sin of the ignorant, the tragedy from the lack of awareness, it's all logical and filled with reasons.

To me, almost all of the most memorable scene is a tragedy, playing with the build-up, the climax, and the aftermath. You can see the development of both the event and the character, the realisation, the resolution, and the conclusion. It gave life an important reason— a reason to live.

tragedy is just another facet of life. life is not all roses and it certainly not a black and white world were good beat evil and everyone get his just reward. if a story is trying to make life seem the way i just described then that's just a children book and although i may enjoy it i'm never emerged in it. only when a story is not trying to naively protect this skewed world model and let all kind of things happen to the characters be it good or bad that can see that what i'm reading is living breathing world. but this is just one aspect of a story so obviously not all tragedies are good stories

Because I want to cry. :blobpeek:

Sometimes the story gets me crying but, once I have started I'm not entirely sure I'm just crying because of a tragedy in the story I'm reading.

It's a good stimulator to get you crying your heart out and relieve your stress at times.
