First of all, it wasn't at all uncommon for a powerful man to have multiple wives. Rather it was in western cultures or eastern, 'tis was the way to ensure clan and kingdom alliances, as well as the propagation of strong children. Although we already know that Meng Hao will only ever marry Xu Qing, it doesn't matter much to me if he does end up marrying others.
