Windows 10 or Windows 7, which OS do you prefer?

The one benefit I can think that no-one has mention so far is that xbox anywhere is only available on windows 10 which means if there is an exclusive game coming on the xbox one, it would most likely be available on the xbox play anywhere service. Additionally, windows 7's support ends in the next 3 years while the windows 10 support will end in about 8 years.

 

For me, Windows 7 is the most user friendly os.

anyway if u want simple and friendly, go for 7. if u want something fancier and more relevant for future games/programs, go for 10.

 

Windows 7 is for PCs. Windows 10 they tried to make the PC into an Iphone and failed.

It depends on what kind of games you want to play. I personally use Windows 7 Ultimate and have no problems, but if you want to optimize gaming with the latest games available then using Windows 10 is your best bet.

In the end, I really don't expect to see much difference unless you're one of those. "omg my frame rate dropped from 60 to 59" sort of deal.

 

Windows XP is the best for gaming. But you can't play some games. So windows 7

 

Xp is the best os ever. well if we talking support Xp is loosing it.
But to me, "window" is the best os. it help me to get hooked up.

 

my slightly older PC is still windows 7, newer laptop is windows 10.

windows 10 lets you get directx12, which is nice for high end gaming
but you also have less control and there are more features you need to disable in windows 10 if you care about privacy and such.
windows 10 is the future, but honestly, I'd still suggest waiting a bit before going to windows 10 simply because of how much power microsoft will have once everyone's on windows 10. if you really put effort into it, you can pretty much trim down side processes in windows 10 till it's almost as efficient as windows 7. Then again, that was the same thing with windows 7 vs windows xp.... xp gave you control and efficiency, 7 added some bullshit but added other nice stuff, esp for more casual users.

so yea, same historical pattern, only that microsoft is planning to make windows 10 the final windows. Instead, to make money, they'll use windows 10 as a platform since in a few years, everyone will have it (unless they have macbooks or are hipster enough to use linux)

 

Win 10 for gaming & all (work) cuz it has DirectX 12, hybrid boot, improved mechanics while win7 for obvious versatility

 

you say window 7 is at the end of its life but you should remember...
XP is immortal !!!

XP is the best OS ever created by Microsoft, sadly XP is no longer supported by Microsoft.

As long as it's not Windows 8, I'm fine with either, but I prefer win7 since I like the interface better and find it more user friendly compared to win10.

I've tried windows 10, but, it's not really compatible with my low-end pc so downgraded it to windows 7.
And a big NO to windows 8
