Anyone have particular words that stand out from your childhood, where you had no idea what they meant, but as you've gotten older and learned their definitions they resonate especially hard with you? Lethargy is that word for me. I remember playing Super Mario RPG for SNES as a kid and seeing some monsters use that spell to put your characters to sleep. I had no idea what it meant at the time, just thought it was a fancy spell name. But now that I'm older, and know what lethargic means, every time I'm feeling lazy and tired, I think of this word and smile.
Route I played Pokemon as a kid and had no idea what that meant~ As I played I slowly figured out what it was from the game~ I was super proud cause I was the only one my age who knew what it meant!! At the time That's all I can think off :T
Apathy is a word I heard sometimes in my childhood, but now I know exactly what it means because I resonate with the word so strongly that I pretty much feel it almost all the time.
I know it's bit off topic, but I find word platitude funny, as it reminds me of what I used to think about it. When I was learning english and I saw this word for the first time, I believed it had something to do with platypus. Yeah, quite silly, I know.
I choose MISC because I when I was a child, games used misc to refer to anything that wasn't equipment or key items. Now that I'm older, misc will always be the word that I associate with games. Misc. is miscellaneous.
Huh..... I pretty much checked the dictionary for everything..... I was smarter as a kid then I am now
