was reading a manga "Scholar's Reincarnation" and i got to say in all the stories i read (xianxia, wuxia, etc) this is by far the smartest advice i have read. so what do you guys think is the "smartest" advice a character in a story ever told another one?
"Life is that fker who'll steal your money, wife and kids while watching you get drunk and kill yourself. But since life is like a person, you just need to know how to deal with him and enjoy yourself as you see him get drunk and kill himself. A cycle of evil and chaos where good is bullsht and anarchy is best."
The most valuable advice I ever learned from Wuxia and Xianxia stories is, "Life is a battle over resources." Land, Power, Wealth, Religion, Influence, etc. both tangible and intangible are all just resources that people compete over directly or indirectly. Once I figured that out, my entire perspective of the world changed and I was finally enlightened about some people's motives that I never took a hard look at before. Simple, and most people are aware of it to some extent, but that sums it up pretty well.

... Why aren't beautiful women on the list? I get that the advice is for a girl, but aren't beautiful women the most likely to try to destroy a cute girl?
