Where the MC gets tortured and killed by the arc's protagonist Emperor, who may or may not be the ML. It's one of those numerous transmigration novels. I remember this arc because I think I cried when the Emperor realized his mistake but the MC was already dead. I can't quite recall if he was the ML who follows the MC around in different worlds.
