the novel is finished kinda conflicted too short compared to others but if it too long can be repetitive
ARGH! That was so bad Fang Xiang! Like a 16 year old who writes 2/3 of a great essay and gets lazy with the ending! I knew it was coming but still... sigh The highpoint of WoC to me will always be when the novel went into battalions and the creation of Vermilion Bird Camp. Thanks for the ride, i guess.
Yeah too many loose ends. I mean what about zuo mo pets? Wasn't silly bird made to be something really special (on top of being phoenix?), someone mentioned girls from wu kong mountain like zuo mo teacher and his junior/senior sister, although its been said that everyone from wu kong died how can they know when they never searched for them? Hell they found luo li/wu li by total accident so that means something. What about relationship between ceng lian'er and zuo mo? Sure Zuo mo and A gui was set in stone that they would marry but there were moment between zuo mo and ceng lian'er. Man i can go on and on while listing those loose ends, that make this novel really bad. Which is a god damn shame because 3/4 of the story or maybe a little less 3/5 is really great, out of all those popular novels WoC beats them by miles at this stage, yet ending ruins it. But that isn't really foreign to asian authors because be it manga or novels while they may be great at the start they always have crappy ending, as if they ignore the fact that ending usually decides whether the story is good or bad... I'm really disappointed, i hope avalon of five elements will have a better ending.
I’ll be honest. This is probably one of the worst and most unsatisfactory endings it’s ever been my displeasure of reading. All that build up. All those loose ends. Little to no closure. I’m disappointed and probably won’t read another book by the same author.
The End. Yeah, I wanted more and surely there enough material especially to finish those loose end. I guess the author just wanted to end it at the same time as the final battle. Been reading from early beginning, but didn't make a single post here. Just leaving my mark here
Jump into the 'crossing to the future... ', or the 'ze tian ji' boats. Aaaah i wanted to see city destroyer in action. I wanted to see more reaction scenes for the big reveal of zuo mo 's identity.
Yeah this, i mean the way they revealed zuo mo identity as nether king (or vice versa) and lack of reactions, or at least they weren't shown is really a low-blow, to the point where your balls are simply blue.
Am I the only one that still thinks there is one more chapter left? the countdown was too misleading...
I'm same as you early and mid story was really good if not superb that's why it feels even more underwhelming that ending is so fcking weak. One thing if ending is as bad as the rest of the story and another if ending is pretty much the only bad thing about the story. For me the overall opinion of the story depends on ending, if ending is bad then no matter how great story is for me it feels awful/terrible/disappointing/etc.
