Resolved Would webnovel freak from this pickup request?

Question:
Ok so for this novel there is something I've got to ask, it's currently on webnovel with 40 chapters and has been sitting like that for about 2 months now.

In the author's note on the last chapter updated, it says that they are waiting for someone to pick it up and will unlock all chapters when that happens but since it's on webnovel I don't know if I'm allowed to put up a pick up request for it on here so that the chances of someone picking it up are higher and faster. Am I allowed to even put up a pickup request for a novel on webnovel or will webnovel not like it?

I just really want to know if I'm allowed to or not; or if all I can do is just wait for a translator from webnovel to pick it up at some point.

I imagine either they mean someone to replace them as a TL working on said translation on webnovel. Or that author note was on another website pre-webnovel that had premium chapters and that webnovel transferred over everything without edits.

 

Simple

Ask the author and the situation between him and webnovel.

If he agrees, good for you.
If he says talk to webnovel, you'll have a hard time.
