Wuxiaworld featured video thing

Not sure if this is mentioned in any obvious place, but is there anyway to disable the featured video thing that’s playing on the corner of the wuxiaworld website? In case I’m not clear, the ad for the novels on wuxiaworld told through video form with weird generic clips playing behind strange plot summaries that plays continuously and for me really distracts from the reading and doesn’t really catch my attention to read any of it’s advertised novels?

Either I never noticed, or my browser automatically removes this thing? Can you share a screenshot? Genuinely curious.

 

You a plugin/extension that disables autoplay videos but keeps ads on.
It's the least that you can do for free novels.

Wait, what ad is this? Do you have a screenshot? Aside from the fact that we tightly control video ads, we don't have any 'featured videos' of our novels O.O

 

I've never seen such an AD on WW but I have seen them made by and used on an aggregator website which I won't name since it's not allowed. I read all my Qidian novels there.

This site makes and uses the ad extensively on their website. I've seen it a couple of times elsewhere but very infrequently. Additionally I know Qidian has recently adopted this style of AD seemingly from this site since they are so similar.
It could be an AD from these companies given what it is advertising, WW would be considered a good place for their ads to show for the obvious reasons.

I don't know the deal or level of control you have over Ads with your ad network but if this is the case I'd work on getting rid of the specific ads. In the past I've seen ads for other novel sites pop up on your site. Though only for a short period.
I'd hate to see Qidian take traffic from your overlapping novels (the law breakers... ugh) through advertising on your site.

It’s just a bit annoying because it follows the screen when I scroll, takes up like a quarter of the screen and plays some really distracting video which takes my attention away from reading. And it never stops

 

That's so bizarre. We definitely didn't create these, but why would advertisers be advertising our stuff with weird videos? Lemme look into this.
