yeah, it really don't help that this is the most poorly written textbook I have ever read.

it took me 30 minutes to read 4 pages.

I think the most interesting part of the book is the clear struggle between science imposing their mathematical systems onto nature and nature just laughs it off.

like half the time they dont even finish their sentence since they get so lost describing the picture that interferes with the sentence XD
