As there hasn't been a spoiler thread for this novel but just a pick up thread. I decided to make one so I won't spam the other thread. So how did MC and ML reunited and fall for each other? What happened to his sweetheart? The other concubines? Does he still regret sleeping with the MC? How does the demon ties in with reuniting the couple? How does the daughter feel when she met her father who never cared for her mother? There probably more questions but for now just these. @ChuChi @Eis @plum
ML had no choice but to stay in the manor/courtyard/fu where MC was living in exile. This is the first time they met after she was "sent out". He discovered that he has a daughter... he didn't know that MC was pregnant when she left nor that she gave birth to a child. The daughter was young enough that she hasn't developed negative feelings to her father. She likes him and enjoys his attention. The falling in love happens gradually, but it was the ML who fell first. He fell for MC's straightforward, honest and clear manner. She is also beautiful. He feels content and happy with only the three of them living together compared to the intrigues that the concubines always causes for him in his main fu. He will think that when he goes home he doesn't have peace because the concubines always makes problems and makes him solve all of those. All concubines, after he decided to woo MC back, was driven away especially the cousin concubine. Actually, iirc he doesn't really love the cousin but feels responsible and also due to his mother's urging that he feels compelled to take care of the cousin. Fortunately, in the span of time of ML pursuing MC, he discovers the cousin's evilness. How scheming and murderous she was. He was heartbroken, when he discovered, when MC told him, that the cousin sent assassins to kill her when she was travelling after she was sent out of the fu. ML thought that he had no idea about the MC's sufferings. Actually, when he realized his feeling for her, and knowing her independence. He gave her the manor and asks for her forgiveness. MC was surprised as men are known to be super prideful that they wouldn't ask for forgiveness even if they know that they are wrong. The demon, gives dreams to the couples. Iirc, it was MC that was difficult because she doesn't want to be reunited at all, so he used his powers to have her dream of them two being intimate and awaken herr lust for him...

What caused him to be forced to stay at where the MC was exiled? Also how did he find out that the cousin concubine was two-faced aside from the MC telling him that she was almost assassinated by the concubine? Did he liked his daughter when he found out he had one with the MC?Were there any love rivals for the ML? How did the ML get the MC's affection? Can you gives examples of how he tried to woo her? So MC had a comfy life after being exiled thanks to the money ML gave when he "exiled" her. She also had a great eye for talent, the dumb maid she picked up in ML's mansion had a photographic memory, while the stupid male servant had talent in martial-art. The same goes for picking good bred horses. Her ranch had been quite successful, but one day, 15 of her horses were robbed by the mountain horse bandits. ML had long targeted this band of bandits and attacked them first before MC. And hey, there were a few good horses, so ML used the principal of "finders keepers" and took the horses. One of the horse, was a black good horse which he fancied. This horse was MC's and only be willing to be ridden by her. MC saw that ML took her horse and wanted to at least reclaimed her black horse. MC hid her face and told ML that it was hers, but ML refused to believe since her ownership paper was lost in the robbing incident. Anyway, ML lose the fight thanks to MC's trick. Well, how dare a female thief rob his horse, so he look for her. While the demon begrudged on the background bc MC left without properly reunited with ML. So while ML was in search for the female thief who rob "his horse", the demon took the daughter and goaded ML to the daughter. And ML did what any normal person did when they found random 3 y.o. girl in the mountain, took her to the nearby town and play with her bc hey if I ever found a 3 y.o. girl lost in the shopping mall, the first thing I'd do was to take her to my house, not looking for her parents. Then I'll wait for the parents to contact me bc they would miraculously know that their daughter was with me. Anyway, MC found her missing daughter since she had been watching ML (bc he took her horses) and told her subordinate to pick the daughter from ML. The demon had been telling the daughter that ML was her daddy and ML was very nice to her bc he had been buying her candies (MC forbid her to eat too many candies) and told her to tell ML that she didn't know the subordinate bc if she recognised the subordinate, she would be taken away from her daddy. Finally MC had to stage an ambush and successfully took her daughter back. While the meddlesome demon was biting his finger bc his plan to reunited MC and ML fail once again. ML was very angry bc who else would take the innocent 3 y.o. girl except for one of his enemy. This enemy was very cruel for not sparring even a 3 y.o. girl. He recognised that the culprit was the (horse) female thief. In his investigation, his right hand mentioned that they had took everywhere except one place, he mentioned to ML that no one dared to conduct a search there bc it was part of the Marquess (ML)'s residence, then he also told ML that he heard there was a small girl there. ML put 1 plus 1 and suspected MC. He then came to MC residence and saw the little girl, he asked about the girl and MC straightly told him that she was his child. How does the daughter feel when she met her father who never cared for her mother? Spoiler: the demon The meddlesome demon had been coaxing the daughter that having a daddy is great, he will doted her the most, etc. When they first met due to the demon's plan, the demon told the daughter to call ML "daddy". ML felt somehow attached to the little girl and thought that if the sweetheart 1st child didn't die, they were also at her age. So he took her to nearby town and bought her many thing. MC was a carefree person and never wanted the daughter to begrudge ML, so she never badmouthed ML (the daughter didn't know anything about ML or that he exiled her mother, no one ever mentioned ML to her). She planned to tell the daughter everything once she got bigger. So when ML came, she never prevented them to meet. What caused him to be forced to stay at where the MC was exiled? Spoiler: He stay with her He stayed with her the first time for a a few days, it was when he first found out about the daughter. Then when he got home, he got fed up with all of his concubine fighting each other and tried to seduce him. He thought that the stay at MC was better, so he often came later to escape. Also how did he find out that the cousin concubine was two-faced aside from the MC telling him that she was almost assassinated by the concubine? Spoiler: how? He tried to convince MC that he didn't care about the sweetheart anymore and started to tell MC about what happened those past 3 years. The sweetheart kept getting jealous of other concubine although ML only slept with her. The other concubine was given by the Emperor and other official so he had no choice than to accept them. Then finally one of the concubine that was granted by the Emperor got murdered and he found out that the assassin was commissioned by the sweetheart. When MC heard that, she wasn't surprised at all, just told ML that "it was just like her (the sweetheart)". Looking at the unsurprised MC, ML asked whether the sweetheart also sent assassins to her. MC confirmed that she had sent fews. Upon returning to the residence, ML chased the sweetheart out. He planned to still be responsible for her living-expense for the rest of her life and should she choose to remarry, he would provide her dowry.
Seems very promising read, sounds that ML was not "distorted" person. How many chapter it has, please?
