They slew vile arrogant dragons, purge the troubled seas of pirates and held back the tides creepy perverse miscreants. Their names were carved on the scared walls of Nuffian Vahalla! They are the Mods. First, when @Tony pulled Nuffia out from the chaos of the great web and spun it into existence, four were chosen and given powers over Nuffians. @Electromaster , @holyshin , @remy911 , and one other. But the "Other", the fourth, never embrace the 'power' and fell back into the world as a mortal, foregoing the chance for glorious ascension. Thus, three gods were created. Then, @Lachiel joined their ranks, followed by @Shio . And when Lachiel left to travel to worlds beyond the reach of Nuf, from that came a successor; the great warrior god @Parth37955 . Following that, with Parth's recommendation, @Ritsuru also came to wield the great hammer of law and stood as a steward for this world. For a time the world of Nuf thrived and grew. As its population swelled, more were promoted, @Nom de Plume and @Casul Reader At the height of their power, monuments and murals were created depicting these Nuffian deities. (；￣Д￣) Oh yeah~ totes forgot about him and @Nom de Plume went from Mod to NU staff... wasn't sure how to (too lazy) to create proper lore of how NU staff fits into the pantheon.... Personally, I think all staff, mod or not, kinda are in the same tier of the Nuf ecosystem. The work is different but its work regardless... GOLD!!!

Wasn't there another one really similar to the sailor moon thread? Not as crazy, but each mod was given a picture. I remember that it was kindof cool, but I can't find it...
My favourite NUF memory has to be when Dragon God/Dupe2718 was active. Every day was entertainment. This guy was a narcissist who was convinced he was a genius with a super high IQ and spoke down to everyone (he admitted it himself in a later thread here: https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/narcissism.36566/). He used to post a bunch of maths and philosophy threads... But those aren't the really interesting ones. He always spammed the "Looking for..." section with really weird, hyper-specific requests that no one could fulfill. He'd complain if your recommendation didn't suit every last requirement. One time someone pointed out that he'd never find a novel like that and he said, "I'd rather get no recommendations than one that doesn't completely match." So he went on annoying absolutely everyone. One day he posted an ethics question about incest, in which he argued that incest should be legal. Why? Because he had the hots for his own sister. Yes, he admitted that as part of his argument. His first account (Dragon God) was banned and then he snuck back on as Dupe. Managed to go unbothered for a little while. I enjoy seeing Dragon God and Nazgand talking to each other. They are on different level. Wait a moment, if you knew Dragon God, that means you are pretty active for a long time. But I only realize about your existence last December...?
No need to follow them if they turn up everywhere you go~! Yup~! I've been here the whole time. I think I was a pretty normal and quiet member, though, so I'm not surprised that few people remember me from that time. Plus I eventually moved full-time into the Yuri Garden and rarely ventured out for a long time. And after being a member with a ghost-like existence for so long, people started remembering me after the lingerie thread... Well, this was my first avatar, so maybe it will jog some memories? Yeah... in a perverse way it was interesting to see what he'd come up with but I can't say I miss his presence at all... he definitely sharpened other ppl's personalities, but ultimately, ppl ended up stabbing him with what they sharpened... Oh GAWD... he tired to establish some kind of rules for talking to him, or something like that... what was it again? *goes to look for the thread* Minimum Online Courtesy for Debate That was so triggering and back then we didn't have blob emoji to comfort us... It was fun to trying and tease him with semantics tho Sometimes, I am really glad that today is not yesterday.
